The invention of

Hugo cabret

Hugo is a young boy that father has passed away in a fire. He had to quit school to help his uncle with the clocks at the train station. He doesn’t like to steal things but sometimes he has to so he can survive. There is this machine that his father worked on. His father had drawn every single part in machine in a notebook. This man almost burns Hugo's book but doesn't and now he is making Hugo work for him. That is as far as I have gotten in the book.

That is what Hugo the main character has been upto so far in the book!

Another reading task!!

I was asked to make a book cover of a book that I was reading. At the time I was reading a tom gates book ( such good books). This one was tom gates TOP OF THE CLASS. one of my favourites. So I made a very colourful book cover using google drawing.

Reading task 2.

 A while back I had to find 6 words and then define them.
Here are the 6 words

1. Inspector - Someone that Checks out something or inforces rules.
2. Hesitated - Pause before doing something.
3. Emerged - Moves out from somewhere.
4. Hissed - Sharp sound with the letter S
5. Adjusted - Moves something in a new way
6. Decrpit - Something worn out.

Reading task.

Today I wrote a letter to the author of my book.

I wrote to the author Brian Selznick about his book The Invention Of Hugo Cabret.

I told him how I have read his other book wonderstruck. I told how his books send me into a different place like I was in the book and that I was Hugo and that I was going through what he was. I 100% think you should check this book out or any of his book as they are amazing.
