New maths website.

Today in maths we tried a new website called multiplication and division. It gives you random questins to answer.

Today I got 65% but next time I am going to try get 70% to 100%.

I thort I would be bad at division but I was pretty good.

I really want to learn my 11 times tables.

Prototec stage 5.

Today we did prototec stage 5. Prototec is a maths website that our school go on to help us inprove our maths. Today I got 54/60 so I got 6 wrong.

Next time I will try to get 60/60.

Growing A Plant.

Plants!!!!!!

In Rimu Over the next two terms we will be growing our own plants. I'm growing parsley because why not. To care for my plant I will water it every second day and not get it TOO wet. I think my plant will grow nicely but take it's time.

I will be able to put my plant in a proper pot when it has two sets of leaves and to fully grow it will take 70-90 day that's a long time. 

Keyboard skills

Today we did keyboard skill and I must say I did a lot better today. Keyboard skills is helping us to type faster and spell better. I love keyboard skills.

Next time I'm going to try type a little faster and not look at the keyboard.

I have learnt to care for others by helping them.

I think my handwriting today was ok but I could of done better.

Food For Thought

Food For Thought!!!!

Today Rimu had our second session of Food For Thought. I wasn't here for the first session but I was here for the one today. Today we look at the sugars in some of the drinks that people have everyday. The most sugar was in a E2 and that had 20 teaspoons of sugar in it WOW!! thats a lot. We also looked at the back of some labels of some foods.  Tomorrow we are going on a supermarket trip to look at some foods that are good for you and some bad and we will be able to tell by the food labels on the back of the box or what the food is in. I can't wait.

A couple weeks ago the Senior Hub went to Mt Hutt to go skiing. It was really awesome and today my class did a screencastify on our Skiing story so if you click on my video you will see my screencastify.

You can show being friendly when one of your friends are sad because someone didn't let  them play the game and you can let them play with you. You can also help someone if they are hurt you could take them to the sick bay or to a teacher. 

I have learnt that being a good friend is not just being friendly being a good friend is caring about one and other. In life I will keep being a awesome friend and I will also help anyone and everyone.

Today we did Prototec (again). But today we went on stage 5, there were some easy questions and some of them were a little hard but only 3 or 4. Prototec helps my maths and its really fun.

This week we have been learning how to write a structured blog comment. Here are some comments  before and after.

BEFORE-

My comment has no capital to start and has a lower case I and no punctuation at the end.

AFTER

This comment has a capital letter to start and punctuation to end,capital for names and a capital I.

This has helped my writing because now I know how to set out a comment or a letter.

Today we used Prototec stage 4.

Prototec is a maths program that we use in maths. Sometimes we go on easy stages but only to help us remember our maths. I like Prototec because its a good way to boost our maths thinking.

It was fun.

On skoolbo we are learning to be fast with our learning. Skoolbo is a really fun way to learn. In this game I vs Caden he is from another school. I won 30/22 it was a good game.

I think we should do fitness every day because it is good for the body and your health. Some people don’t like fitness I think they are crazy. I think doing fitness is important and eating the right foods also you need to drink a good amount of water.
