A bunny police officer then stepped in and paid for the jumbo pop and took it to the fox and his son.</p><p><br /></p><p>Techniques:</p><p> Colour: Bright lighthearted scene, amid at children so it has bright colors. </p><p>Lighting: Warm, natural, bright, daytime, hot sunny day, Fox and bunny in the spotlight - everyone else in the shadow.</p><p>Camera: High and low angles were used - the elephant is taller, the elephant feels bigger, the elephant is more superior, not meant to like the elephant as he is bigger and meaner. Elephant uses an angry tone while speaking. low angle from the foxs POV and high angle from the elephant's POV.</p><p>S- Statement - In the popsicle scene, low-angle shots are used to show the imbalance of power between the characters.</p><p>E - Evidence - We see this when the elephant is talking to the fox. The low-angle shot is used to show how much bigger and stronger the elephant is compared to the fox.</p><p>X - Audience - This makes the audience feel bad for the fox because he doesn't get served because he is not an elephant and because he is small. </p><p>X - director - The purpose of this is to introduce the idea of stereotyping to the viewer. appearing large and rough the elephant shopkeeper refused service because he is a fox. Strengthening is the elephant's quote "go back to your side of town". </p><p>X - other technique - Combined with the use of low-angle shots, we see the differences in the characters rather than the similarities. The high-angle point of view makes the fox seem even smaller than elephants towering over him.</p><p>Y - Your link/real-life link - Issues like this where people are judged on their size, race, or religion are not isolated to this film. The plants that they touched and the ground they walked on lit up, the background was dim, cold. </p><p>Colour palette - Neon, green, blue, purple. Colors used to show the extreme difference between earth and where they are. </p><p>Camera - shots - angles - movement- focus. Tilt shot used to show the seeds (POV). Conversation - mid shots, shows bodies and the distance between them. Close-up on seeds, shows how they moved. </p><p><br /></p><p>S - Statment - In the scene ' seeds of the sacred tree', Lighting was effectively used to create an otherworldly experience of Pandora.</p><p>E - Evidence - Artificial bright light is seen as the figures run on and touch things in the environment. The rest of their surroundings remained dark against these flashes of cold neon light.</p><p>X - Explanation - Audience - This makes the audience feel amazed and envious of the natural and unearthly qualities of the planet.</p><p>X - Explanation - Director - The director did this to make the viewer feel like they have been transported to another world, where new and exciting plants exist. </p><p>X Explanation - Other techniques - Coinciding with this is the use of a neon color palette. The blues, greens, and purples become vibrant and unworldly when combined with the artificially bright lights caused by movement.</p><p>Y - Your Link - The lighting and color are juxtaposed to that which we experience in the real world on earth. Like earth, it has trees, plants, and native people but we see them vastly different from us because of the bright artificial neon lighting. </p><p><br /></p><p>Scene 'The hide and clap scene'</p><p>Brain storm: In the 'Hide and clap scene', the lady heard a noise in the basment and went to check it out. A woman named Miep Gies was hiding her. She wrote a diary about her experiences hiding during the war. Unfortunately, she didn't survive the war as she was found and killed by Nazi soldiers. I knew her diary was later made into a book for people to read and learn about what she went through.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: inherit;">What I learned about Anne Frank - Anne Franks full name was Annelies Marie Frank. She was born on June 12th 1929 and died in Feburay/March 1945. Her diary was about her family's 2 years of hiding during the german war. After Annes sister, Margot was taken to a force labour camp the franks dicided to go into hiding. The date was July 6th 1942. They hid in the backroom office of the Otto Frank's food-products bussines and with the help of their no-jewish friends who brought them food. </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;">After a while the Frank family was transported to </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">Westerbork</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;">, a transit camp in the Netherlands. From there to </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">Auschwitz </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;">on September 3, 1944. Anne and Margot were transferred to </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">Bergen-Belsen</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"> the following month. It was established by the Dutch government that both Anne and Margot died in a </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">typhus</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"> </span><span style="font-family: inherit;">epidemic</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit;"> in March 1945.</span></p><p>What I know about the diary of Anne Frank - The diary of Anne Frank was Anne Franks diary that she wrote her experences in while she was in hiding with her family during the war. </p><p>What I learned about the diary of Anne Frank - The diary of Anne Frank was writen in dutch. Anne started writing in 1942 and she was writing to a imaginary friend. After Anne passed and the war had ended Annes father found her diary. The book was puplished on June 12th 1947 and has been puplished in over 60 different languages. </p><p>What I know about the Holocaust - I know that the Holocaust took place during the war. It was a plan to kill off all Jewish people. The Holocaust happened between 1933 and 1945. I know that very few people survied. I know that gas chamber were used to kill Jewish people. I know that they were starved and used for work before they were killed. I know that the condions that Jewish people were kept in was disgusting. </p><p>What I learned about the Holocaust - I learned that <span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">the total number of Nazi concentration camps that existed at one point in time is at least 1,000, although these did not all exist at the same time. The holocaust was a</span></span><span style="background-color: white; color: #181818; font-family: open-sans, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; letter-spacing: 0.8px;"> </span><span style="background-color: white; letter-spacing: 0.8px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">mass murder of millions of European Jews (as well as millions of others, includi.ng Romani people, the intellectually disabled, dissidents and homosexuals) by the German Nazi regime between 1933 and 1945. </span></span><span style="background-color: white; letter-spacing: 0.8px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">To the anti-Semitic Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, Jews were an inferior race, an alien threat to German racial purity and community.</span></span></p><p><span style="background-color: white; letter-spacing: 0.8px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">What I know about Miep Gies - I know that Miep Gies helped hide that Franks during the Holocaust. </span></span></p><p><span style="background-color: white; letter-spacing: 0.8px;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">What I leanred about Miep Gies - Miep Gies was a dutch citizen that helped hid the franks family and 4 other dutch Jews from the nazis. It is an amazing move about a teacher putting in a major effort to help a classroom of troubled students find their potential. In the beginning, all the students in the class hated each other. there was a war between races and gangs, so none of them wanted to be anywhere near each other and were constantly fighting. Miss G set up activitys so the students could all see that in most ways they are the same and are living the same lives just on different sides. The teacher, Miss G was working two extra jobs to make a bit of extra money to buy her student the resources they needed to succeed, she had to buy her own resources because the school would not give her students the books or resources they needed to learn because they simply didn't believe in them. But Miss G believed that these kids could do great things. </b></p><p><b>Miss G brought all of her student's diaries, for them to write about their lives and talk about what they have been through. She gave them the option to let her read the books so she could get a better understanding of what the kids were really going through. All of her students left the diaries for her to read.</b></p><p><b>The students started with learning about the holocaust as none of them knew what it was. Miss G and the class raised the money for the class to be able to go to a holocaust museum, where they all learned very important things. They then went on to read the diary of Anne Frank. The diary of Anne Frank was inspiring to the students. A lot of them saw the lady who hid Anne Frank a hero. </b></p><p><b>All of the students wanted to meet the lady who hid Anne Frank. So they fundrased and wrote her leaters.</b></p><p><b><br /></b></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421424687289199173.post-45841836563338573722020-12-01T16:16:00.001+13:002020-12-01T16:16:05.029+13:00My Discovery task!<p> <b><span style="font-family: georgia;">In health we were given a task where we got to pick our own topic to research about. I chose Cannabis as it is something that I wanted to learn more about, I wanted to learn about the positives and negatives. </span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: georgia;">Firstly I had to decide what I was doing for my 5 BIG QUESTIONS, I chose <span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Why… is it harmful to your body? </span><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">What… Other issues does this link with? </span><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">Who… is algebal to access weed? </span><span style="white-space: pre-wrap;">How….. I was in a different group right up until three weeks before market day when I had to switch groups last minute that made it a bit more difficult on market day. My group sold panikeke, we were supposed to sell chips as well but our deep fryer fell threw last minute. Our weaknesses were: poor communication, lack of effort and being unorganised. One strength our group had was me and another person jumped into the group three weeks before market day so our group had to adapt to more people.</p><p>Adapting fast - I was very impressed of the fact that we did pretty well considering that we didn't work together in the start. </p><p>Poor communication - We had poor communication because we didn't really talk about our plan for market day or who was bringing what. we also didn't really talk on the day about who was staying at the stand for what times so I ended up staying by the stand for the whole day selling things. I think next time to work on this we would need to either have a group chat of all the members or actually talk about things before and on the day. </p><p>Lack of effort - On the day we only had 3/5 members actually show up. Even tho I only jumped into the group three weeks before market day I still tired my best. I do think that everyone in the group could have done better on the day and actually work as a group instead of just one person doing everything. Next time I think we could all try a bit harder and work together. </p><p>Being unorganised - on the day we didn't have any of the stuff we needed other then the pre made panikeke. we didn't have paper plates, napkins or a poster to put on the table to display what we were selling. I think next time we should be more organised and be better prepared for the day.</p><p><br /></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421424687289199173.post-78306768190920132852020-09-22T14:21:00.002+12:002020-09-22T14:21:23.786+12:00<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dyvthNKib_bIXNL5IDnfELh__N76KjdHiLHHTj5rcSm75hibq_8kOhMApJ4j3sJZMFDVdZWIZmtG0SkRRM2vg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We preformed a piano cover of same love - <span style="background-color: white; color: #4d5156; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;">Macklemore & Ryan Lewis</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; color: #4d5156; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: left;">my role was to play the intro and the outro to the small bit we did.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #4d5156; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">I worked with Kayla, Lauren.</span></span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #4d5156; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">I think the preformace went really well and that everyone played thier part really well.</span></span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #4d5156; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">The challenging this was working with new people</span></span></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="background-color: white; text-align: left;"><span style="color: #4d5156; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">I enjoyed learning a new song and just having fun with it.</span></span></span></div><br /> <p></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421424687289199173.post-84589076774537325302020-09-21T10:23:00.000+12:002020-09-21T10:23:41.826+12:00Children of blood and bone: chapter 66<p> <span style="background-color: white; color: #4f81bd; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; white-space: pre-wrap;">Father stands in his night robes, scanning a faded map. As we can tell the royals are scared of what the Maji can do because in the past the Maji has caused harm but now they are good and just want to be free and be able to use magic for good. I think this will turn out perfect as long as the Maji use their magic for good and don't use it against people.</span></span></div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421424687289199173.post-53075154453565072822020-09-15T09:07:00.004+12:002020-09-15T09:07:34.305+12:00Children of blood and bone: Chapter 56 response <p> <span style="background-color: white; color: #4f81bd; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; white-space: pre-wrap;">We zip through the crowd while celebrants thrust and shimmy by our sides. <iframe allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" height="299" mozallowfullscreen="true" src="https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/e/2PACX-1vQ3YadmBlgpSaD934FHmCixsvefbw9JOIO39lO4v60YQzTFzzPk4GToz0-lcOXbgYo0GaRfWaQHtObJ/embed?start=false&loop=false&delayms=3000" webkitallowfullscreen="true" width="480"></iframe></p><p><br /></p><p> <span style="background-color: yellow; font-family: Arial; font-size: 14pt; white-space: pre-wrap;">Question: Explain a technology period you have studied and what some of the important inventions were in this period.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; font-style: italic; white-space: pre-wrap;"><br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; font-style: italic; white-space: pre-wrap;">Throughout the Rome time period there were a few technological advancements. Some of the inventions were Aqueducts, roads and Rome baths. The invention of these times are still seen today in everyday life.</span></p><span id="docs-internal-guid-83f99b46-7fff-a576-8460-6b6c3b976dd7"><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">An Important advancement in the Rome period was the Aqueducts. Aqueducts were invented around 312BC. Aqueducts are important because they help keep drinking water free from human waste and keep other contaminants out of the water. They also transported fresh and clean water to highly populated areas. So without the aqueducts there would not have been freshwater available to small communities. </span></p><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Another advantage of the Romans were their roads. The Roman roads were made around 312BC. Their roads were important because they connected communities and cities, without them the Romans wouldn't have conquered and held onto all of their territories and land. They also provide hundreds of today's routes in europe.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Without the Romans roads even life in europe today would be difficult.</span></p><br /><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The last important invention was the Roman Baths. The Roman baths were invented around 33BC. They provided a place where people of all classes and backgrounds could come together and socialize, get clean and bond. Although the baths were inspired by the ancient greeks they are commonly known for being a roman thing.</span></p><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">Without the roman baths the lower classes would not have been able to clean them selfs in sanitary conditions.</span></p><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; font-style: italic; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The roman era showed many technological advancements. These inventions were Aqueducts, Roman roads and Roman Baths, without them life would've been much more difficult. All of the inventions are seen around the world in today's times and are still very important.</span></p><br /><br /><br /></span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3421424687289199173.post-83527441044014236952020-09-07T10:34:00.005+12:002020-09-07T10:34:39.178+12:00Children of blood and bone: chapter 45<p> <span style="background-color: white; color: #4f81bd; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; white-space: pre-wrap;">“Your people, your guards. These techniques that we have worked on are working with different textures (ex. scrunched up paper towels, bits of cardboard, torn off bits of paper and big paint brushes), We have been mixing different oils (ex. cooking oil, Retarder) and also using techniques like blending and layering. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">In my art work I tried to step out of my comfort zone of keeping everything very neat and tidy. So over the past 6 weeks I have just been putting my paint brush on the paper and go for it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This was slightly challenging for me because it was way out of my comfort zone with just going for it, as a result of just going crazy I don't love all my art work but I still see it as development in my art.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d7Ivqa-suLI/X1Bav8TdJAI/AAAAAAAAAPY/25G8-Otr-1Aw_iKRDsr-o_TDqetBngYqQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20200903_141453.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-d7Ivqa-suLI/X1Bav8TdJAI/AAAAAAAAAPY/25G8-Otr-1Aw_iKRDsr-o_TDqetBngYqQCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20200903_141453.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-J8rm7ilJWJw/X1BawHQgwEI/AAAAAAAAAPc/oRB5Kj5N92MIuyCKwFFyaRxj22FyuLu4gCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20200903_141456.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-J8rm7ilJWJw/X1BawHQgwEI/AAAAAAAAAPc/oRB5Kj5N92MIuyCKwFFyaRxj22FyuLu4gCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20200903_141456.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wJ8qgqZLhrQ/X1BawEIR87I/AAAAAAAAAPg/NfRrimFjfd0nWa_txCDxQXk0ZtKk1BM9wCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20200903_141459.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wJ8qgqZLhrQ/X1BawEIR87I/AAAAAAAAAPg/NfRrimFjfd0nWa_txCDxQXk0ZtKk1BM9wCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20200903_141459.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8hy0UI05Lv0/X1BaxCrB4-I/AAAAAAAAAPk/IfUbU8pCRsg9V_jLN38dNaKVQp48gsXGACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20200903_141503.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8hy0UI05Lv0/X1BaxCrB4-I/AAAAAAAAAPk/IfUbU8pCRsg9V_jLN38dNaKVQp48gsXGACLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20200903_141503.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iF0T9HNpB0I/X1BaxVNDkiI/AAAAAAAAAPo/vIr1cAKXvhcL7bVdqvtFWnW-N-8mTSWAQCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20200903_141506.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iF0T9HNpB0I/X1BaxVNDkiI/AAAAAAAAAPo/vIr1cAKXvhcL7bVdqvtFWnW-N-8mTSWAQCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20200903_141506.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here are the pictures of the art techniques that our teacher asked us to use for our own art.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hKjl_tciM6E/X1BaxludiLI/AAAAAAAAAPs/6--GKKnkvf4xhrBMHu0zEFBJbQZc7dAtACLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20200903_141520.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hKjl_tciM6E/X1BaxludiLI/AAAAAAAAAPs/6--GKKnkvf4xhrBMHu0zEFBJbQZc7dAtACLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20200903_141520.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lqy1bD4jZ5A/X1BkFF6-LMI/AAAAAAAAAQE/zvXg4tIoqUQK99d91n4pdQhTdmJduDaQgCLcBGAsYHQ/s2048/20200903_141517.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="640" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lqy1bD4jZ5A/X1BkFF6-LMI/AAAAAAAAAQE/zvXg4tIoqUQK99d91n4pdQhTdmJduDaQgCLcBGAsYHQ/s640/20200903_141517.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">If anybody has any feedback or tips please leave a comment and let me know:)</div><br /><p><br /></p>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1
